Peptide stability depends on sequence, formulation, physical state, water content, counterion, container system and time. The safest general rule is to follow the storage conditions supported by the specific product\u2019s documentation and stability data rather than copying one universal temperature from another peptide.<\/p>\n<h2>Why peptide storage is product-specific<\/h2>\n<p>Peptides can undergo chemical degradation such as oxidation, deamidation or hydrolysis and physical changes such as aggregation or adsorption to surfaces. Which pathway dominates depends on the molecule and environment. Temperature, humidity, light and agitation can all matter, but not every peptide is equally sensitive to each factor.<\/p>\n<h2>Lyophilized material versus material in solution<\/h2>\n<p>A dry, lyophilized presentation often behaves differently from the same peptide in solution because molecular mobility and exposure to water are different.
